Total admiration this week at Delamere Park! Lovely morning watching/engaging with the Ladies Tennis team in action — and what an inspiration they are! With a combined age of 348 years and the oldest player being 87, these incredible women showed that age is just a number when it comes to passion, energy, and community spirit. Hats off to each and every one of them
A big thank you to Northwich Community Support Food Hub for their generous donation of surplus food to Cuddington Youth Club. Thanks to your support, our young people can enjoy hot toasted muffins, warm croissants, and a sweet cake treat.
"Who Are The Police?" – Key Stage 2 at Weaverham Primary Academy Key Stage 2 pupils at Weaverham Primary Academy took part in an engaging and interactive session exploring the question: Who are the police? The session included: Drawing and writing what pupils thought police officers do — completed before and after the session to reflect their learning. Watching force videos showcasing the wide variety of roles within the police service. Learning about the roles of police officers and police staff, and how they work together to keep communities safe. Understanding how and when to contact the police, including when to use 999 in emergencies. Pupils showed fantastic engagement throughout, thank you!
Mini Police Programme – Weaverham Primary Academy This week, pupils at Weaverham Primary Academy were introduced to the newly revised Mini Police Programme. The session sparked lots of interest, with all pupils keen to get involved. Application forms were provided for pupils to share why they’d like to join, and their responses showed great enthusiasm and creativity. Pupils also shared fantastic ideas during a group discussion on how to make the programme engaging and fun, with activities tailored to suit their interests and strengths. Next Stage: I look forward to collecting the completed application forms and preparing for the interview stage, where pupils will have the opportunity to share their ideas and motivations in person.
Halloween is nearly here! This week I joined residents at Delamere Park for a coffee morning and handed out Trick-or-Treat window posters Want one for your home? Email me at Michelle.Gillett@cheshire.police.uk Or call by The Lighthouse, St Mary's Church Hall — posters will be available in the hallway! Let’s make this Halloween safe, fun, and respectful for everyone
This evening, I attended Cuddington Youth Club. It was a great evening filled with fun, laughter, and positive conversations. Engaging with our local youth in relaxed, supportive environments like this is such an important part of community policing. Thank you to everyone who made it a welcoming and enjoyable evening!
Weaverham High School – Weekly Parking Patrol Round-Up Monday 29 Sept – Friday 3 Oct 2025
This week, I carried out daily school parking patrols around Weaverham High School, with support from a CWAC Enforcement and monitoring Officer on selected days.
Our focus was on keeping pupils safe and encouraging considerate parking near the school gates.
What we looked out for:
Parking on zig-zags Parking within 10 metres of junctions Crossing yellow lines to park on footpaths Obstruction of tactile paving and pedestrian access
What we found:
3 vehicles over zig-zags 5 vehicles parked too close to junctions 5 vehicles crossed yellow lines to park on footpaths 2 vehicles blocked tactile paving/pram access 1 advisory notices issued for unnecessary obstruction
Positive outcome:
Many drivers responded positively and relocated their vehicles when advised. The Withens Lane car park, opened by Weaverham Parish Council, continues to provide around 20 extra spaces, helping ease congestion. Thank you to all parents and carers for your cooperation and support this week. Your actions make a real difference in keeping our children safe.
