Ellesmere Port Police News Bulletin - 9 to 15 May 2022


  • Firstly, may I apologise but the last bulletin had an incorrect date displayed.  The time frame it covered was 2 to 9 May.

    If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.

    Burglary

    Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:

    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Rossmore
  • John Nicholas Crescent – Entry gained into communal area of flats of unsuccessful attempt made to force open a storage door, next to the door of one of the flats.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Netherpool
  • Lowland Court – Access gained to balcony and door handle to property tried by unknown male who ran off towards the golf course.
  • Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:

    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Shed on Wilsons Lane allotment site has lock removed to gain access.  Petrol strimmer and chainsaw taken. – Access also gained to other plots with items moved around.
  • Criminal Damage

    Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Rochester Drive – Brick thrown through bedroom window.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • St. Pauls
  • Smithy Lane – Small shop bin, to rear of pharmacy set alight.
  • Theft

    Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Priestfield Road – Whilst on mobile phone unknown male approaches and grabs phone before running off down alleyway.
  • Stanney Mill Lane – Unattended tri-axle trailer, parked up at roadside taken by unknown articulated trailer and driven off. 
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • St. Pauls
  • Valley Road – Parcel taken from outside property.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Orange, black and grey Voodoo bike, secured in bike sheds at ‘West Cheshire College’ taken after lock removed.
  • Sutton Way – Top half of caravan door taken.
  • Vehicle Crime

    Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

    ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Black Lion Lane – Grey Honda WW 125, J66 BDL Taken by unknown means. – Located to the rear of property with damage to wiring. 
  • Netherpool
  • North Road – White Volvo Arctic, LD66 URT taken after keys obtained by offenders who have entered business truck yard via perimeter fencing, then driven vehicle through locked gates to leave area . – Vehicle recovered in Yorkshire.
  • Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

    ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Sutton
  • Carlyle Crescent – Renault Kadjar found with rear registration plate, showing DG19 BTZ missing.- May have been taken elsewhere.
  • Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
     
    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Whitby Road – Vauxhall Corsa scratched along drivers door.
  • Rossmore
  • Station Road – Ford Focus scratched along the side of vehicle whilst parked on Westminster Retail Park.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • St. Pauls
  • Alvanley Road – Peugeot 207, parked in rear garage area scratched along length of vehicle.  Vehicle also found to have screws in both front tyres.
  • Sutton
  • Broadland Road – Skoda Octavia, private hire taxi kicked by male refused fare.
  • Please note this is not a complete list of all incidents reported during this period - it is purely for the information of local residents to make them aware of incidents that have taken place within their area.
