Speeding Trucam Update |

Good Morning all,
We have been out with the TRUCAM device in areas in Knutsford, High Legh, Mobberley, Chelford and Gawsworth.
Since April, Officers have caught 549 vehicles driving over the speed limit.
Investigations into these collisions show that some of the fatalities could have been prevented and that there are five main contributory factors that cause serious road traffic collisions. These are known as the 'Fatal Five'.
The Fatal FiveCareless driving Drink and drug driving Not wearing a seatbelt Using a mobile phone Speeding Road users who commit one of the Fatal Five offences are far more likely to be involved in a fatal collision than those who do not.
Officers will be continuing to monitor the roads and operating the Trucam device. We would like to take this opportunity to thank those who drive within the speed limit and help to keep our roads safe.
