Jake Fagan and Connor Mitchell have been sentenced to a total of 8 years 2 months in prison after leading police on a 90-minute pursuit across three different police force's areas.

On Thursday 18 July a motorist reported that two men on a motorcycle had blocked the road, threatened her with a knife and smashed the rear window of her car. The pair fled the scene on a motorcycle, driving without any thought for the safety of the public around them, - hitting speeds of up to 90mph and driving contra on the M56.

Our Roads and Crime Unit and armed patrols were quickly guided in by NPAS and the pursuit was brought to an end in Chester. Our officers used a stinger on the bike and swiftly arrested the pair after a short foot chase.
