Good afternoon.
Recently we have seen a change in the weather for the better and with the Sun, unfortunately, we have seen an increase in youth anti-social behaviour on the ward. Reports made to us have involved youths throwing things at vehicles, knock a door run and issues with the use of e-scooters and off road bikes. Can I ask all parents to have a little chat with their children about this. We appreciate that when the Sun comes out for the first time that kids want to be kids and have fun but reports such as what we have received are a concern. A reminder that E-scooters are illegal to use unless on private land and officers have the power to seize if needed. Electric and off road bikes ridden illegally are a danger not only to the rider but also the general public. This is illegal and those caught will be dealt with appropriately. Throwing objects at moving cars is not only dangerous but beyond stupid! If caught, again, they will be dealt with appropriately.
Th majority of youths on the ward are well behaved and always polite. Lets not et the few spoil if for everyone else.
If anyone has any information about the illegal use of bikes or anything else discussed in this email, please contact me directly on neil.potter@cheshire.police.uk
Kind regards
