Ellesmere Port & Neston Police Neighbourhood Crime update - 2 to 19 February 2025


Please note this is not a complete list of all incidents reported during this period - it is purely for the information of local residents to make them aware of incidents that have taken place within their area.

Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:

 

ELLESMERE PORT WEST  


•    Little Neston and Burton
•    Sandy Lane – Entry gained into property by removing lock barrel to patio door.  Untidy search made within.  Small quantity of jewellery taken. * Possibly same offenders.
•    Neston
•    Upper Raby Road – Rear and side door to property damaged in an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry. Entry has then been gained via a rear bedroom window.  Untidy search carried out within and a safe has been taken.  The safe has been recovered later within the grounds of Bromborough Golf Course. * Possibly same offenders.
•    Grange
•    Hampton Gardens – Unknown offender/s have smashed the ground floor kitchen window before reaching in and causing damage to the window handle and frame.  No entry gained.


Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:


ELLESMERE PORT WEST  


•    Willaston and Thornton
•    Chester Road – During early hours of the morning unknown offenders enter the car parking area of ‘Burleydam Garden Centre’ and removed padlock to gain entry.  Access to the building is gained after forcing entry via the doors.  Untidy search made with the premises and cash and a safe are stolen.


Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:

 

ELLESMERE PORT WEST  


•    St. Pauls
•    Cow Lane – Over the course of this year several items have been taken from sheds and greenhouses on the allotment site.  
 

 

 

 

 

Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

 

ELLESMERE PORT EAST  


•    Ellesmere Port Town
•    Richmond Court – Front bedroom window smashed.
•    Somerville Crescent – Camera, to rear of property damaged.
•    Exeter Road – Dining room window smashed.


ELLESMERE PORT WEST  


•    Ledsham and Manor
•    Baildon Green – Outer pane of double-glazed rear dining room window smashed by a rock.
•    St. Pauls
•    Hallfield Park – Unknown male entered rear garden of residential property.  Once disturbed he has made off, causing damage to the fencing.
•    Sutton
•    Summertrees Road – Unknown offender approached a Valient V520 boat, on a residential driveway and sliced the inflatable sections.
 

 

 

 

 

Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

 

ELLESMERE PORT WEST  


•    Neston
•    Raby Park Road – Secured red mountain bike removed and taken from the bicycle shed on the shared ground of Neston High School / Brio Leisure Centre. - Suspect identified and bike recovered.
•    Netherpool
•    Gateacre Court – Black Carrera Vengeance Mountain bike, secured to lamppost, removed and taken by unknown offender.
•    Sutton
•    Grappenhall Road – Unknown offender/s have entered the rear garden of property and taken two bikes.  One being a Carrera vengeance and another broken cycle.  The broken cycle has been found discarded in a nearby field, but the Carrera is still outstanding.
 

 

 

 

 

Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

 

ELLESMERE PORT WEST  


•    St. Pauls
•    Mill Lane – Black Honda NSC, KF19 FTP taken from the driveway of residential property by unknown means.
•    Sutton
•    Bruera Road – White Suzuki UK 110, PK21 TDX, parked on residential driveway taken by unknown means.  


Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

 

ELLESMERE PORT WEST  


•    Little Neston and Burton
•    Denhall Lane – Male disturbed trying rear passenger door of Range Rover parked at lane side.  As the vehicle owner walked towards his car the male got into a white Skoda Octavia and drove off.  When he spoken to at the traffic lights onto the A540 he drove off through the red light and off onto Hadlow Road at speed.


Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST  


•    Ellesmere Port Town
•    Cambridge Road – BMW X5 scratched along the side by unknown female.
•    Flint Court – Vauxhall Zafira found with a nail in the tyre.
•    Rossmore
•    Rossmore Road East – Insecure Ford Transit panel van, parked at the side of the road has a wooden pallet placed next to it which has then been set alight.  Vehicle was full of furniture and refuse.


ELLESMERE PORT WEST  


•    Netherpool
•    Naylor Road – Volvo S40 has windscreen damaged with a brick by an unknown male, wearing a balaclava. Once the windscreen has smashed the male has run off.
•    St. Pauls
•    Valley Drive – VW Golf has window smashed and damage caused to the body work by a male using a Suron bike. * Named suspect.
