UPDATE | The A556 Chester Road remains closed eastbound this morning (Friday 31 January) following the industrial incident in Sandiway.

The closure, between Norley Road (The Round tower) and Whitegate Lane is expected to remain in place until at least midday today.

The eastbound carriageway is closed to both motorists and pedestrians.
