Over the past week there has been a number of reports regard Vehicles being stolen from owners driveways, within the MOULTON , KINGSMEAD and HARTFORD areas. In all incidents the Vehicle was taken overnight, the vehicle was a keyless entry vehicle and the owner still had the keys.
We want to make everyone aware of this issue to help protect no more issues like this occur.
Here are some ways to keep your keyless car safe : - STORE KEYS AWAY FROM THE CAR : When you're at home, keep your keys and spare keys away from your car, doors and windows. - USE A SIGNAL - BLOCKING POUCH : Store your keys in a Faraday bag or other signal - blocking pouch to prevent thieves from intercepting the between your car and key - TURN OFF WIRELESS SIGNALS : When you're not using your key fob, turn off its wireless signals - USE A STEERING WHEEL LOCK OR CAR ALARM: Use a steering wheel lock or car alarm to protect your car - PARK IN A GARAGE: If you have a garage, park your car there overnight. - KEEP KEY FOB AWAY FROM THE FRONT DOOR: Keep your key fob away from your front door to prevent thieves from a getting a signal from it |
