Op. Sceptre

Operation Sceptre has returned once again this week and will be running until Sunday November 17.

Taking place twice a year, co-ordinated by the National Police Chief’s Council, the initiative aims to raise the awareness of knife crime, as well as the police action in detecting, reducing and preventing it.

A range of activities will take place, which will includer targeted operations, engagement and education to reassure young people they are safer not carrying knives, and the consequences of doing so.

🔪🗑 We also have a knife surrender bin should you or anyone else wish to dispose of unwanted knives. No questions asked.

To help us reduce the risk posed by those who carry knives we need information from YOU as members of the community who are affected by those who commit knife crime.

Any information can be passed via our Force website Report | Cheshire Constabulary

or anonymously to CRIME STOPPERS Independent UK charity taking crime information anonymously | Crimestoppers or ☎️ 0800 555111

Although it’s not always possible to act quickly on any one piece of information, a great deal of work goes on behind the scenes to ensure evidence is gathered and efforts undertaken to divert individuals away from knife crime.

Every piece of information, no matter how small, helps us to help you!

📣Have your say by taking part in our 'Residents Voice' survey Resident's voice | Cheshire Constabulary
