Ellesmere Port & Neston Police Neighbourhood Crime update - 30 September to 13 October 2024


Please note this is not a complete list of all incidents reported during this period - it is purely for the information of local residents to make them aware of incidents that have taken place within their area.

Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:

 

ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Chester High Road – Padlock removed from rear gate.  Garage entered and using tools from the garage, several screws have been removed from the rear door handle to the property.      No entry gained.
  • New Street – Homeowner has heard what was believed to be the rear door handle being tried.  The dog has reacted to this but upon checking the rear garden no one has been seen.      No entry gained into the property.
  • Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:

     

    ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Neston
  • Howard Court – Unknown offender removed and took front door key which had been left in lock. Shed entered and gardening items taken from within.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Heath Lane – Chain pulled off gate and inner gate taken off its hinges. Lock on workshop broken off to gain entry.  Two welders and a quantity of tools taken from within.

    Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wolverham Road – Unknown male kicks fencing at ‘The Cat’ public House before throwing a cigarette bin through a window.
  • Conway Court – Glass smashed in communal door. – Named suspect.
  • Denbigh Court – Upper floor flat window smashed by unknown offender.
  • Princes Road – Brick thrown at ground floor living room window causing it to smash.
  • Stanney Lane – Two unknown youths kicking the glass panels through in the bus stop opposite Whitby Park.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Neston
  • Frobisher Road – Three separate properties targeted by a pellet gun or similar during the time frame of this bulletin.
    • Small hole found in outer pane of glass in downstairs window.
    • Upper pane of glass damaged leaving a small hole.
    • Window smashed.
  • High Street – Male forced entry into caravan and found a sleep inside. – Male arrested.
  • St. Pauls
  • Eccleston Avenue – Window smashed by offender who has then rode off on a bike. – Named suspect.

    Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Civic Way – Insecure black and blue Mountain bike taken from outside ‘Ellesmere Port Library’.
  • Marina Drive – Unknown person entered ‘Wok & Go’ and took charity box.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Neston
  • Churchill Court – Secured Green electric Raleigh Felix with panier bag taken from outside ‘Denwall House’.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Seymour Drive – Trek Roscoe Mountain bike taken from front garden during the early hours of the morning.

    Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

     

    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • New Port Road – Blue Ford Transit panel van, PL15 FPV stolen by unknown means from outside ‘Harpers Autos’. – Vehicle recovered in Kinnington Way, Backford. Male arrested and charged.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Sutton
  • Chester Road – Nissan Note, SN10 CBG taken from driveway during overnight period by unknown means. – Vehicle recovered from Foxhall Way.
  • Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

     

    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellington Road – Renault Megane has the front and rear registration plates, showing DA17 EZC taken.
  • Strawberry
  • Beechwood Drive – Two vehicles entered by unknown means and property taken from within. – 8 CCTV shows the same unknown male searching through both vehicles.
    • Hyundai i30, parked on residential driveway.       Wallet, containing various cards, train pass and cash taken from centre console. 
    • Seat MII entered by unknown means and small quantity of cash taken from within.  
  • Rossmore
  • Rossmore Road East – Wire fencing cut through to gain access to ’M53 Ford’. Two headlights removed and taken from Ford Transit Custom van.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Parkgate
  • Leighton Road – Front registration plates, showing KN13 HBD removed and taken from Mercedes parked on a residential driveway.
  • Grange
  • Aldgate – Two separate reports received during the time frame of this bulletin:
    • Fuel door on Nissan Qashqai forced open and fuel cap removed and taken.
    • Front registration plate, showing RF08 UPB removed and taken from Mini Cooper.
  • Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
     
    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Rossmore
  • Shephard Close – Ford Eco, parked at roadside has all four tyres slashed by unknown means.
  • Raddle Wharf – Window smashed on Vauxhall Corsa and purse taken.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Parkgate
  • Moorside Lane – Whilst parked at roadside opposite church vehicle (no further details) scratched along the side.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Seymour Drive – Audi TT scratched along the nearside door and rear wing.
