Messaging apps are great for keeping in touch, but when you get a text out of the blue from an unknown number, can you trust who it is?

Fraudsters will impersonate loved ones, ask for funds and put pressure on their victims to send money.

Always check by calling, facetiming or contacted another person to check the legitimacy of the messages.
