FRAUD ALERT  

This week Macclesfield LPU has received a report of from a resident that they received a phone call from someone claiming to be a Police Officer and tried convincing the resident to transfer a large sum of money into an unknown account to 'assist' with an 'investigation'. Please share this post with your family and friends and alert your elderly relatives to this scam.

The Police will NEVER:

Call you asking you to take part in a fraud investigation or ask you to transfer money into an unknown account.

Ask you to attend a bank to withdraw cash.

Send someone or ask a courier to attend your home to collect cash, bank cards, PIN numbers.
